Although there are multiple sources of diagnostic data, educators can analyze informal diagnostic data that they have already collected or that are easy to collect instead of conducting formal diagnostic assessments (e.g., standardized achievement tests, neuropsychological tests). This tip sheet is intended to help educators and teams analyze informal diagnostic data to help individualize the intervention to better meet the student’s needs.
