About the Intensive Intervention Institute
NCII is excited to host our third Intensive Intervention Institute! This year the Intensive Intervention Institute will focus on local and state leaders. The Institute aims to build the knowledge and capacity of state and local leaders to support the implementation of intensive intervention for students with severe and persistent learning and/or behavioral needs using data-based individualization (DBI). A summary of event logistics is provided below.

Event Logistics
- Who: Local Education Agency (LEA/District Staff, School Based Leaders) and State Education Agency (SEA) Staff. There will be strand options for participants who are new to implementing DBI and those who are knowledgeable and currently implementing DBI. If possible, we highly encourage you to participate in the Institute in teams or with a partner from your state or district.
- What: During the event, participants will—
- Learn about DBI.
- Discuss current DBI research and implementation lessons with NCII staff, advisors, and experts.
- Access role-specific professional learning
- Participate in action planning opportunities.
- Network with colleagues interested in supporting intensive intervention implementation.
- Access freely available resources and tools to support intensive intervention implementation.

- When: June 25-26, 2025
- June 25, 2024: 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Central
- June 26, 2024: 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Central
- Cost: Participation in this event is free, but you will be responsible for covering your own travel expenses. Coffee/tea and snacks will be provided each day. Other meals, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, will be the responsibility of participants. The registration deadline for this event is April 11, 2025. Space to participate in the event is limited, so we ask that you only register for the event if you believe you will be able to attend. Participation in the event is on a first come first served basis, but preference will be given to participants who did not attend a previous even in 2023 or 2024. Selected participants will be notified on a rolling basis. Once the institute reaches capacity, we will add registrants to a waitlist. Those on the waitlist will be notified if space becomes available.
