June 7-9, 2021 NCII hosted a 10-year celebration of the implementation of intensive intervention. This event including three days focused on stories from educators, state and local leaders, researchers, professional development providers, and faculty. On day 1, panelists shared stories focused on preparing in-service and pre-service educators and leaders to implement intensive intervention. Prior to the panel, this session included the a viewing of Implementation Stories compiled from our Voices from the Field pieces. The day concluded with honoring DBI Champions. A full list of the DBI Champions honored across the three days is provided below.

 

2021 DBI Champions

During each day of the event, we honored 18 DBI Champions (individuals and groups) who have promoted the use of DBI and intensive intervention through their work. These individuals were nominated by the field for their contribution to supporting students with severe and persistent learning and behavioral needs. They represent state, district, and school leaders, researchers, faculty, professional development providers, educators, and graduate students.
