Opportunity for Faculty! Academic Screening Tools Chart Training of Trainers

Are you a faculty member who uses the National Center on Intensive Intervention’s academic screening tools charts in your coursework? Do you want to improve your technical knowledge and ability to communicate about the academic screening tools charts? If so, join NCII experts for a free, five-part virtual Academic Screening Tools Chart Training of Trainers for Faculty to enhance your expertise in the academic screening tools chart. 

Participants who best meet the prerequisite criteria (see below) will be selected on a first come/first serve basis. Participants will be required to attend all five sessions and complete all required activities. 

When: Sessions will be held on the following dates:

  1. Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 4:00-5:25 pm ET (3:00 pm CT/ 2:00 pm MT/ 1:00 pm PT)
  2. Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 4:00-5:25 pm ET (3:00 pm CT/ 2:00 pm MT/ 1:00 pm PT)
  3. Tuesday*, September 30, 2025 at 4:00-5:25 pm ET (3:00 pm CT/ 2:00 pm MT/ 1:00 pm PT)
  4. Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 4:00-5:25 pm ET (3:00 pm CT/ 2:00 pm MT/ 1:00 pm PT)
  5. Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 4:00-5:25 pm ET (3:00 pm CT/ 2:00 pm MT/ 1:00 pm PT)

*Note: this session occurs on a Tuesday

Ideal for: Faculty who currently teach, or plan to teach, courses that include content on selecting or evaluating academic screening tools. Prerequisites for participation include faculty who:

  • are employed by an institution of higher education (note: we will also allow current post docs or doctoral students who plan to become faculty members);
  • are familiar with NCII’s academic screening tools chart to select or evaluate screening tools; and
  • are in roles that require teaching others about how to select or evaluate academic screening tools using the tools chart. 

Become an NCII Affiliate Trainer: Joining the Academic Screening Tools Chart Training of Trainers for Faculty will provide a pathway to becoming an NCII Affiliate Trainer. With this designation, trainers will have the knowledge needed to train other leaders or educators to use the tools charts to select and evaluate academic screening tools. Further, Affiliate Trainers will be part of a network of trainers associated with NCII who will have access to support from and learning opportunities with NCII staff.

  • Access to follow up support from and learning opportunities with NCII staff
