About the Intensive Intervention Institute

NCII is excited to host our second Intensive Intervention Institute! This year the Intensive Intervention Institute will focus on local and state leaders. The Institute aims to build the knowledge and capacity of state and local leaders to support the implementation of intensive intervention for students with severe and persistent learning and/or social, emotional, or behavioral needs using data-based individualization (DBI).

Event Logistics

Who: Local Education Agency (LEA)/District Staff, School Based Leaders) and State Education Agency (SEA) Staff. There will be strand options for participants who are new to implementing DBI and those who are knowledgeable and currently implementing DBI. If possible, we highly encourage you to participate in the Institute in teams or with a partner from your state or district.
What: During the event, participants will—
- Learn about DBI.
- Discuss current DBI research and implementation lessons with NCII staff, advisors, and experts.
- Access role-specific professional learning and action planning opportunities.
- Network with colleagues interested in supporting intensive intervention implementation.
- Access freely available resources and tools to support intensive intervention implementation.

When: June 25-26, 2024
- June 25, 2024: 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Central
- June 26, 2024: 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Central
Cost: Participation in this event is free, but you will be responsible for covering your own travel expenses. Coffee/tea and snacks will be provided each day. Other meals, including breakfasts, lunches and dinners, will be the responsibility of participants.
