NCII Staff Story: Caitlyn Majeika

NCII Staff Stories

"Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. This is the perfect frame for how I view a gap I’ve noticed in the way we implement behavior supports for students." When interventions aren't producing the desired outcomes, it's tempting to abandon an entire approach rather than identify what's working, what's not, and what needs to be intensified or adapted. That’s where DBI offers a powerful framework. Instead of starting over, DBI helps educators use data to make intentional, individualized decisions that build on what students need most.

In this NCII Staff Story, Caitlyn Majeika shares her perspective on how DBI can help address this challenge. As NCII's research translation and capacity-building specialist and a senior researcher at AIR, Caitlyn brings more than a decade of experience supporting schools in implementing sustainable behavior practices, PBIS, classroom management, and data-based decision making.
