Zachary Weingarten, Ed.D.

Zachary Weingarten is the product development coordinator and evaluation liaison for the National Center on Intensive Intervention. As product development coordinator, he leads the development of resources and tools that promote effective implementation of intensive intervention. As evaluation liaison, he helps gather information about the impact and effectiveness of NCII technical assistance. In addition to this work for NCII, Weingarten supports educators and leaders in the areas of MTSS, evidence-based literacy instruction, and intensive intervention for students with disabilities. Previously, he taught elementary school special education in Arlington, Virginia, where he worked in both self-contained and resource classrooms. Weingarten holds a doctoral degree in special education from The George Washington University.
