Sarah Benz, Ph.D.

Sarah Benz is the targeted and intensive technical assistance lead and technical assistance provider for the NCII. In addition, Dr. Benz provides technical assistance and professional development to states through the National Center on Systemic Improvement. Additionally, Dr. Benz directs and advises a portfolio of work with Texas Education Agency Office of Special Populations and Student Supports (OSPSS). Dr. Benz taught middle school special education for over six years and was a former executive director of special education. She received her doctoral degree from the University of Texas at Austin in Special Education and her master’s degree in Special Education from Vanderbilt University.
