Russell Gersten, Ph.D.

Russell Gersten, Ph.D. is Professor Emeritus at the University of Oregon and Executive Director of Instructional Research Group. He is a nationally renowned expert in special education research, meta-analysis and translating research into practice and has received the Special Education Research Award from Council for Exceptional Children. For the past 20 years, he has worked in the field of mathematics intervention. He has overseen the creation of four practice guides on MTSS in mathematics and reading as either panel chair or principal investigator.
