Donna M. Sacco provides product development and technical assistance support for the National Center on Intensive Intervention and PROGRESS Center. For NCII, she has developed materials for English learners such as Taxonomy of Intervention Intensity: Considerations for English Learners and Implementing Data-Based Individualization for English Learners and Implementing Data-Based Individualization for English Learners. Before joining AIR, she was a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She taught special education and English as an Other Language in Arlington, Virginia for 12 years. She earned a masters in bilingual special education from George Washington University and a Ph.D. in special education and research methods from George Mason University. Dr. Sacco’s research interests involve the intersection of language acquisition and disabilities.
